Communtiy service

At first I stat going to a place called North Side Learning Center. lot of English language learners were their. I asked the directer there if i can volunteer so he said yes I did a volunteer for 6 hours their and I have also volunteered with Mr Guido for 3 hours for the door contest.

 I. Introduction 

I have volunteered at the North Side Learning Center and did a door contest. It was fun I have learned a lot.

Vision: 

The vision of North Side Learning Canter is be an example for constructive neighborhood development, community bridge building and empowerment through education on the north side of Syracuse, New York.

II.    Profile of the organization(s) you worked for.Who are they? What do they do to serve the community? When do they provide their services? Where do they provide their services? Why is there a need for their services?

  They are a group of people who help the English language learners.
they serve the community a place to do home work materials for school and teachers to help with almost everything. they provide there service at north side learning. there is a need for their service because  a lot of student would strangle with school, the language and outside problems .


III. The mission statement of the organization.

  The mission of North Side Learning Center is to aid in adult and youth literacy development, and to be instrumental in teaching self-sufficiency and self actualization to newcomers in our community.

III.  Description of the specific tasks:

  I was helping with class work and homework sometimes i was going to the children  room and playing with them.The other place I volunteered from was when I was helping the door decoration with Mr. Guido. It was door contest we fished the  whole door in a short time.

  IV.  Discuss any memorable personal experience; 
  
  I have experienced a lot because I was a student their and i am still a student their. I was helping my friend as I was doing my work. North side is like  a family house to me. At the door contest was fun we were like we are not going to finish on time because we late but we didn't give up and try our best. so I learned not to give up no matter what

 VI.  Conclusion: No matter what it is, I believe you can do it if you put the time in it. I have gained from doing volunteering. it was a great time from me
